Okay, if you're really determined to avoid spoilers, don't read on, but I don't see this one staying secret much longer.
If you want to go ahead and read it though,

And my take?
Well, if they'd called me up and asked me if I thought this was a good idea, I would have said no, not really. It's not just a twist but a substantial change in the way the game works. Allowing people to come back for a second chance means two less slots for people who haven't had even one chance yet. Plus, the odds are that they'll get voted off quickly for exactly that reason, so it might not even be a lasting twist.
That said, if they were going to pick two people to bring back, I'd say they picked the right two people. Both Stephanie and Bobby John kind of got screwed by being on such a losing tribe. That doesn't mean that they would have done better if they'd been on a stronger tribe, but then again, they might have. And they
were entertaining to watch, which, ultimately,
is the primary consideration.
Further, over the many seasons of Survivor that I've seen (and to a lesser extent, the Apprentice) I've developed faith in Mark Burnett's ability to deliver good television. So even though I'm not tingling with anticipation about this particular twist, I'm definitely still going to be in front of my TV for the premier.
I still want to know if anything's going to come of the identical twins though. That's driving me crazy.
.
Now, it was still kind of dumb, but I think that mitigates it just a little. Still, your point is valid that, just because they were the best of a bad lot, doesn't make them necessarily good. Also, I think the knee-jerk "unfair" reaction at them getting a second chance is going to really hurt their odds of getting anywhere this time either.
However, they were fun to watch. :)
Either way, I think you're right that people will try to get rid of them quick because they think it's unfair. And they were fun to watch.
